Earlier this summer we welcomed Abigail Lee, who joined us early before starting her PhD this fall. She has been busy helping to get our new zebrafish facility running and setting up the small zoo needed to successfully raise happy and healthy zebrafish larvae.

Here she is with our assortment of micro algae and rotifer cultures. For some reason she didn’t want to pose with the micro worms. We are still ramping up the micro algae that came in small samples in 1.5mL microfuge tubes. We are testing a little heat for the rotifers after a visit to Drs Ryan Gray and Stephen Ekker’s zebrafish facility and seeing they had their rotifers a lot warmer than room temperature.
